Ron has been my lessons teacher for about four years now. He has taught me a lot and has helped me improve greatly. He is a very determined teacher. He'll keep pushing you until you do something that he knows will improve your playing. He has a way of teaching where it makes you want to practice. He has helped me make honor band at top chair quite a few times. One week I'll think he hates me and has totally given up on me. Then I realize that what he told me to practice actually improves my playing greatly, and next week he'll be in a good or bad mood depending on if I practiced or not. He always has a way of knowing if you practiced or not. You can't lie around Ron, he always figures you out. Overall, he is a great teacher, and has really helped me improve playing the trumpet.
